Terms of Service

By booking your appointment with Gloss Salon, you are agreeing to the below salon policies. Gloss Salon reserves the right to amend these policies at any time, without notice.

Appointment Cancellations & Changes

Your appointment is reserving a time for your specific service just for you. We ask that you give us 48 hours' notice if you need to change or cancel a booking. If this can’t be met, a fee of 100% of your booked service will be required to be paid immediately, this will be waived if we can fill your appointment time, however, this is not always possible. We will send a text and email reminder to you for your appointment 72 hours prior.

Failure to Arrive
(or No Show)

Should you fail to arrive for your appointment, 100% of your booked service will be required and any future services you book with Gloss Salon will be required to be pre-paid before we can confirm your appointment. This pre-payment is non-refundable should you not come to your appointment.

Lateness

Please note that late arrival to your appointment may impact your service and what can be achieved in the time allocated to your appointment.

In consideration of other clients, your appointment cannot be extended due to your lateness. Late arrival of 10 minutes or more will automatically cancel your appointment due to insufficient time to complete your service to a quality and safe standard. Cancellations due to lateness may incur a 100% fee of your booked service, payable immediately.

Covid-19

If you or anyone you have been in contact with is/has been feeling unwell (at all) or is displaying ANY signs or symptoms of Covid-19, please stay at home and reschedule your appointment.

Our standard cancellation policy applies to all appointments affected by sickness.

Removals

For returning clients, the removal of existing product is included in your Manicure. For full removal of your Manicure without reapplication, please book the appropriate Removal service.

 

For new clients wearing a manicure applied at another salon, (including, but not limited to, extensions and overlays using acrylic, hard gel, polygel, builder in a bottle) your existing product will need to be fully removed before new product is applied. This service incurs an additional fee which is subject to change at the discretion of your technician if removal service times are likely to be longer than expected.

 

Please note that Gloss Salon does not remove SNS, Dip or Wrap Systems.

Children

Please be advised that we are a child-free salon. The salon is shared with a number of other businesses and is a space to relax, unwind and have some much-deserved time to yourself. We ask that you please base your appointments around being able to come alone.

 

While we completely understand the difficulties of finding childcare, a salon environment contains numerous hazardous chemicals and other items that are not child proof, and therefore isn’t safe for children under 12. There are very few exceptions to this rule, so please contact Gloss Salon prior to your appointment to discuss your situation.

 

This policy will be enforced strictly, if you arrive to an appointment with your children, we will not be able to complete the service and a fee of 50% of the expected appointment will be charged to cover the allotted time.

Services for Children

Safety is paramount at Gloss Salon therefore it is our policy to only offer gel polish or lash and brow services to children over the age of 16. The only service available to book for children under the age of 16 is a traditional polish manicure, this is a polish-only service and can be booked by emailing us. For children 16 and in school age, a gel polish manicure may be booked, however a ‘Gel Polish Removal’ service must be prepaid and prebooked when booking a gel polish manicure for a child over the age of 16 to ensure safe removal.

48 hour Guarantee

Gloss Nail Salon offers a 48 Hour Guarantee for all services. Should your manicure, brow or lash experience service break down, damage caused by factors within our control e.g application, or not meet the expectations discussed during your appointment, please contact Gloss Salon within 48 hours of your appointment and your service will happily be repaired free of charge.

 

Your service is not covered by the 48 Hour Guarantee if you do not follow the after-care advice, e.g. picking or filing them yourself, getting your new brows or lashes wet, or not following the correct aftercare, or sign a waiver acknowledging your service cannot be guaranteed.

 

All services will be completed to the highest standard taking your lifestyle, preferences, and natural nails, lashes or brows into consideration. Professional advice will be given to ensure you understand the after-care and maintenance required for your service, please don’t hesitate to ask questions or mention any concerns.

Refunds

Gloss Salon enforces a no refunds policy, refunds will not be provided for services rendered.
